Getting to Goodwood

 

Festival of Speed

By Rail

There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1 hour 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are available at Chichester Station.

By Road

The Festival of Speed is held at Goodwood House. Goodwood is located four miles north of Chichester, 60 miles from London and 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton. The postcode is PO18 0PX.

From the North

Visitors from south London should follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. At Milford Junction, take the A283 turn-off towards Petworth. At Petworth, take the A285 towards Chichester and follow signs to the event. Alternatively, take the A286 via Midhurst, and follow the AA signs.

Visitors travelling from the east London direction should follow the M23 (Junction 7 on the M25) south towards Crawley. At Pease Pottage (Junction 11), take the A264 towards Horsham and then the A24 south to Washington. Once at the roundabout, follow the signs for Storrington. Once at Storrington, please follow the B2139 road to Chichester and follow signs to the event.

Visitors from the west London direction and are travelling on the M3 can follow signs to Southampton. From the end of the M3, please follow the signs for Portsmouth where you’ll join the M27. Once approaching Portsmouth, follow signs to Chichester where there will be signs to the event.

From the East or West

Visitors approaching Goodwood from the direction of either Southampton or Brighton should take the A27 towards Chichester and then follow the AA signs. Those heading to Goodwood from a north-east direction (Pulborough, Horsham) should take the A29 to the junction with the A27 westbound towards Chichester. Those arriving from a north-west direction (Petersfield, Basingstoke) should follow the A3 to the junction with the A27 eastbound. 

 

Goodwood Revival

By Rail

By Road

The Revival is held at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Goodwood is located four miles north of Chichester, 60 miles from London and 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton. The postcode is PO18 0PH.

From the North

Visitors from south London should follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. At Milford Junction, take the A283 turn-off towards Petworth. At Petworth, take the A285 towards Chichester and follow signs to the event. Alternatively, take the A286 via Midhurst, and follow the AA signs.

Racecourse

By Rail

There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1 hour 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are available at Chichester Station.

By Road

From London

Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.

From the West

Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 bypass/ring road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.

200 yards after the Goodwood Motor Circuit & Aerodrome entrance, straight over at the roundabout and follow the road up to the Racecourse. On some race days there will be diversions through Goodwood Estate, please follow the signage.

By Rail

There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1 hour 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are available at Chichester Station.

By Rail

The nearest railway station is Chichester and trains run regularly from London Victoria, Brighton and Portsmouth. Taxis are available at the station. The station is around 15 minutes away from the Motor Circuit. 

By Road

Goodwood is located four miles north of Chichester, 60 miles from London and 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton. The postcode is PO18 0PH.

From the North

Follow the A3 (J10 of the M25) south towards Guildford. About three miles past Guildford, at the Milford junction, take the A283 towards Petworth then the A285 to Chichester for six miles. Follow the Goodwood signs to the Motor Circuit.

From the East or West

Take the A27 towards Chichester and then follow the Goodwood signs. Those arriving from a NE direction (Pulborough, Horsham) should take the A29 to the junction of the A27 westbound towards Chichester. Those arriving from a NW direction (Petersfield, Basingstoke) should follow the A3 to the junction with the A27 eastbound.

Please do not follow your Sat Nav when nearing to the Motor Circuit. Brown tourism sign posts will be visible as you enter Chichester. 

 

Goodwood Hotel

By Rail

The nearest railway station is Chichester and trains run regularly from London Victoria, Brighton and Portsmouth. Taxis are available at the station. The station is around 15 minutes away from the Motor Circuit. 

By Road

From London

Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.

Just beyond Upwaltham, turn right at the brown Goodwood sign. At the next Junction turn left, following the brown sign to the hotel. The hotel entrance is a further 2 miles along on the right. 

From the East

Follow the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, go straight over. Take the exit signposted Guildford/Petworth. Go right at the first roundabout, and straight over the second roundabout.

Follow the road until you reach the second left, signposted Lavant. Turn left here and follow the road down to the second cross roads. Turn right, following the brown signpost for the Goodwood Hotel. Continue on this road and you will reach the Goodwood Hotel on your left. 

From the West

Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 bypass/ring road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.

200 yards after the Goodwood Motor Circuit & Aerodrome entrance, turn right at the roundabout, signposted Petworth & Halnaker (brown signs for The Goodwood Park Hotel). Turn left at the next crossroads and the hotel is 150 yards on the left.

By Air

From London / Gatwick Airport - LGW

Follow the M23 south towards Brighton. At Junction 11, turn right onto the A264 towards Horsham, then take the A24 towards Worthing, followed by the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, turn right following signs for Boxgrove & Halnaker.

Go through the village and straight over at the crossroads, (there is a flint wall on your right). Continue on this road for about half a mile, turn left at the T junction and the hotel entrance is a few yards on the right.

From London / Heathrow Airport - LHR

Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.

Just beyond Upwaltham, turn right at the brown Goodwood sign. At the next Junction turn left, following the brown sign to the hotel. The hotel entrance is a further 2 miles along on the right.
